THE STORY

LA-based artist GKO is a pianist and composer whose work unfolds in real-time, shaped by space, light, and the moment. His performances take place in awe-defying spaces that challenge the conventional concert hall. His creations invite listeners to explore their present environment with aural curiosity, taking in the cavernous, ornate, or minimal. Critics say GKO has this ability to create “moments of nostalgia, reverie, and reflection... He’s just performing wizardry”.

His performances have been exhibited at The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, The MIT Media Lab, The Booker Vineyard Cave in Paso Robles, outdoors at ROW DTLA, Christ Church at Oxford University, The British Museum, and at a residency at the award-winning Berkshires resort TOURISTS.

GKO’s recorded catalog is available on all major platforms. Collaborations include piano performances for The Black Keys, Foster the People, and Handsome Boy Modeling School.

GKO exclusively performs on the Steinway & Sons Model D-274. He is also a Steinway Artist.
